My favorite time of year! Halloween! We started with a spooky read in the afternoon. We read some spooky stories by flashlight. Then we had our costume parade in the afternoon! A lot of fun!
We focused on a great activity for Halloween through the website, Mystery Science. It was all about the bones in our hands. It was a great connection to the story we read called Bat Loves the Night. The website has great informational videos that the students enjoyed. It showed how their hands and bats wings were very much alike. After the students watched the videos, the website took them through how to make an x-ray of your hand using construction paper and oil.
They turned out like real x-rays, especially when you held them up to the light. Fall Fest... a time to have some fun, celebrate fall, and do some scary activities! |
