Building a Better Earth

​This week in Reading we read a Judy Moody story called Judy Moody Saves the World. The kids learned funny ways that good ole JM tried to help the Earth without having much success.

We then worked on a STEM project ... creating a Recycling mascot. 

Our criteria for the project was that:
~it had to be made entirely out of recycled materials
~had to stand on its own
~had to have a name
~had to have a slogan or motto

We had a 30 minute design time and a 45 minute build time. Luckily Ms. Horan was on hand to give us a helping hand with the building.

They turned out well! The students did well on their presentations!
These kids inspire me!
