Verbs, that's what's happening!

We have been working on our unit on verbs. We worked on what verbs are, how to get those subjects to agree with our verbs, using vivid verbs (and getting rid of those tired verbs), future tense verbs, and past tense verbs.

This week we worked on those pesky irregular verbs. Those weird ones of the English language that make no sense. Today I swim, yesterday I swam or I have swum...think, thought, have thought...fly, flew, have flown.

We practiced a bunch on response boards, and then we recorded them on the white board.

Whew! English is weird!
